I started my business in 1992, making and repairing tack – specialising in on-site saddle reflocking and bespoke bridles.
I can make/copy more or less anything, and find that I am often asked to ‘rescue’ favourite and heirloom items, such as ancient cartridge bags.
I work from home, use the best quality English leather, and all leatherwork items are hand stitched.
I endeavour to turn repairs round within 10 days, but am also prepared to have a 24 hour turn-round if something is really urgently needed.
I visit all saddle reflock customers, as I need to see the saddle on the horse before I start work on it, and of course to ensure it fits when the work is completed. If a saddle requires to be stripped out, I prefer to do this in my workshop. In these cases, I reflock using pure wool.
In 2007 there was an opportunity to branch out into supplying and providing polo equipment, as well as offering a repair service for tack and sticks.
I hold a small stock of sticks, top quality polo gloves, beautifully embroidered Argentinian leather belts, polo ‘whites’, bandages.
